Hello..if you're wondering where I've been, I've been working behind the scenes making magic happen but I've also been packing the last few boxes getting ready to cross state lines into Oklahoma City with the love of my life, Gerald and our two furry pups Zoe and Iba.

This is a mere until next time, and yes my time at NewsWest 9 and Telemundo 20 has ended.

All good things come to an end.

You all let me into your homes morning, day and night so I will do the same.

It's been an amazing experience that I can honestly say made me a stronger journalist both personally and professionally. I covered deadly accidents, abuse, and at times very painful stories but there's always a positive. Some days I had the opportunity to meet people who touched my life and shared their touchingly unique stories.

West Texas allowed me to pursue my goals and find a way to give back to a very special community: #rescues

Here's where things get emotional...

Through the Midland Humane Coalition I met some of the most wonderful people whom I shared the same passion, rescuing pets, caring for them and finding them a furr-ever home.

Here's my first goodbye, Emily English. You taught me to push myself and that's there is always a better tomorrow. We work to become the best version of ourselves daily but it takes passion and lost of hard work. Thank you.

To the producers, production and NewsWest 9 management past and present (way too long to list) thank you for being a family away from home..some of the friendships I've built here will last a life time.

To the West Texas community. Thank you for letting me grow, mess up and laugh on a daily with you. I really appreciate your viewership, the feedback (the good and bad) and most importantly your tips because without you sometimes stories wouldn't be possible.

A few things l'll miss:

They have the most delicious hot & sour soup, rolls and noodles.

My favorite: Spicy Kani (don't forget eel and spicy mayo), shrimp tempura and their godzilla roll.

They literally make their own ice cream and soda plus they've got pint sized containers to go.

My favorite: Hummingbird sundae on a waffle bowl topped with pecans and whipped cream!

Hand tossed salads, subs and sammies, and breakfast!

My favorite: the spicy muthacluckin' sandwich is delicious, it's spicy and sweet all at once. Salads are my go when in doubt but their spicy and regular Mo is also a top runner.

4. CycleBar if you have not tried spin ...I don't know what you're waiting for. This high intensity interval training 50 minute course is sure to kick your butt. * they have WINE down Wednesday and HAPPY HOUR Friday!

5. Beal Park is not just around the corner from my house but it was always a fun time, friendly atmosphere and the duck pond is right across from the furry friendly place.

6. Cinergy has the right amount of entertainment: food, fun and drinks! Don't forget about $5 Tuesday's.

I will keep you updated on my professional Facebook Alejandra Guzman if you haven't liked it, do it now.

Until then, I'll see you West Texas. Stay tuned..I'll be right back.

With lots of love,

-A
