The one that got away..

Sometimes you know it's the one, its love at first sights, sometimes it's a love hate relationship but most of the time it takes time ..a very long time to find 'The One'.

My experience started 6 almost 7 months ago and it happened in the blink of an eye ..I spotted a magazine. I saw it in person but I knew as soon as I tried it on...I'd found MY wedding gown...and in the blink of an eye it was gone.
Here's what happened...It's now been a little over 4 days hours and I still get teary-eyed when I think about the 'gown that got away.' Money was not an issue but rather timing. Alfred Angelo had shut its doors with little to no notice, refunds, finished merchandise.
I was not the only bride affected...I feel for the brides getting married in weeks, months and next year, the bridal parties and moms who ordered and will not get what they paid for.
2 a.m. Friday July 14, I spent the whole morning refreshing Alfred Angelo's website...and it was functioning. The only thing missing was the add to cart option!

Oh no worries, it still prompted me to make an appointment to order my dress..where would I go? THEY WERE CLOSED!!
Gerald obviously went on a FaceBook rant for the both of us.
**imagine very angry post here**
It was a sweet thought, I didn't expect him to understand...but he did. He knew how important this was for me to find THE ONE.
He was optimistic for the both of us, so he planned a weekend trip for me to drive down to San Antonio and find a whole new gown in less than two weeks.
Ummm...yea like no biggie..you know it didn't just take me 6 months or anything.
Things got hectic when I kept getting the "it's no big deal." or "it's just a dress" or the "you get to go shopping..AGAIN!"
No, life happened to me...I lost THE ONE and now I have to replace it? I do not feel fine...But little did I know the wedding gods would prevail and surprise me.
So yes, I made the 4.5 hour drive to San Antonio..with a couple of booked appointments, the fiance was great help setting them up.
Here it is: WEDDING GOWN 2.0!
Yupp..you guess right. It took ONE DAY...a whole day mind you trying on 967824316 more dresses but I found THE ONE..AGAIN!
LIV & LOVE BRIDAL, in San Antonio made my dreams come true.

This place was definitely amazing, champagne, the biggest fitting rooms I've seen and the owner, Olivia, was a sweetheart and helped me after being a victim of Alfred Angelo. I owe her this special day.
Thank you to my wonderful mother and bridesmaids for being there during this tough time and helping me stay calm cool and collected and finding this sweet deal...during National Bride Sale Weekend...it's a thing.
Speaking of special days...I never posted about our 1 year anniversary (July 13, 2017) obviously because of the crazy news taking over...THANKS ALFRED ANGELO.
So..HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GERALD I LOVE YOU.
