Happy birthday to me! Yes, I know my birthday was Tuesday but it was non-stop fun filled action and SURPRISES.

Do you have a design in mind for your blog? Whether you prefer a trendy postcard look or you’re going for a more editorial style blog - there’s a stunning layout for everyone.

Monday:

It was pretty chill, spent the day with Zoe & Iba in Stillwater at the OSU Botanical Garden. They've enjoyed being outdoors and stretching their legs. Homecoming events kicked off, we checked out the decorations the girls even picked their favorites and voted while getting ALL the student's attention & belly rubs.

Tuesday:

MY 25TH BIRTHDAY! Slept in but little did I know I was in for a treat. Gerald was kind enough to surprise me with an interactive tour of The Greater Wynnewood Zoo. We saw monkeys, tigers, ligers, liligers, lions, we petted wolves, kissed a camel and took pictures with a lemur (my fav), an albino raccoon & a regular raccoon, two snakes, a skunk, an iguana, AND PLAYTIME WITH A LION CUB!

Dinner was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Gogo Sushi in OKC. Rainbow, Crunchy Crab, Sophie 2 and Yellowtail rolls with Katsu Pork & Teriyaki Beef dinner boxes, miso soup AND FOR DESSERT: tempura banana with vanilla ice cream.

Wednesday:

I've been feeling pretty inactive, you know when you've had a bad couple of days, well September started feeling like a bad month. So G & I decided to head outdoors and take the girls with us. We ended up in Elk Mountain. A beautiful knees to chest type of climb. (YIPPEE!) Zoe & Iba ran up and down the entire time. We had a quick picnic at the top of the mountain and topped off our hike with soaking our paws and feet in the creek where I managed to fall in after sliding on moss. (It was great..)

Thursday:

WAIT FOR IT, TODAY IS THE BIG DAY! I woke up, had french toast for breakfast. I was in the process of getting ready and packing for OSU's homecoming weekend when I got THE call. I've been interviewing for Univision 41 in San Antonio since the end of September. It was fun reconnected with some of the journalist, met some of the new staff and helped a bit with Edition Digital. (Great interview right?) Thing is I'm the awkward turtle when people ask me to talk about myself...isn't everyone? By October 3rd, I had received my verbal offer as a Video Journalist (you know a one woman band!) I took it and on this day I got the all clear to start Oct. 16.

To celebrate we took a little road trip out to Stillwater, met with some of his college friends.

Friday:

Woke up, ate at Old School Bagel Cafe, -try it where you can- shopped for game day gear then took a well deserved nap.

But all good things must come to an end, just so better things can come into play right? We hung out at Eskimo Joes, best sweet pepper bacon cheese fries EVER! They know how to tailgate, they had free beer & a concert.

Two of the BEST homecomings all in less than one week.

Our parents & family have been our biggest supporters through the mist of this life long dream for the both of us.

Thank you.

Love,

-A
