I've had two full weeks to "test drive" 2018, I can only say things can get done if you set your mind to it.

We all set new goals for ourselves but it's always hard trying to stick to them, right?

This year, while I'm still adapting to being BACK in San Antonio, I also changed my mentality.

Whether in regards to work, my relationship or me personally I've tried to set a few routine check ups.

1. Schedule workouts

If you haven't tried OrangeTheory, it's a MUST! If you really want a good sweaty workout I suggest Orange 3G. If you're trying to get back into the groove Orange 60 is great.

2. Plan, plan, & plan I took a break, a longer one than I needed but I'm wedding planning, AGAIN! I'm tracking that list and checking it twice. April 14 is right around the corner and I want to enjoy the last month before I say "I do."  If you have a goal, set it, take baby steps until you've checked off everything on your "To Do List."

3. Education. Pick up a book, for pleasure or simply to learn something new. My goal is to at least read one book a month in between all this craziness but it helps me relax, destress and escape into a whole new world.

4. Do what makes you happy.

If it's taking a jog outdoors, taking your dogs our for a walk take a minute to reflect on the day without sweating the little things. Lately, thanks to my career, I've noticed how unfortunate others really are. I knew this but just seeing it, having to share their stories it makes me want to help everyone. Which leads me to my last point...

5.  Failure is an option, just not a good one

My GM said this, and he's right. No one likes to fail, we all like to share how "successful" we are but we never take the time to share the instances that led us to push ourselves harder to get to where we want to be. We are our biggest critics. Don't be afraid to fail because things can only get better after that.

Hope you're enjoying 2018 and making the best out of it.

Love.

-A
